The "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is Enabled" error is a common one when trying to visit sites on a Windows RDP server.

Here are the steps you need to take to disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security and browse normally:

  1. Open Server Manager via the Start menu.

  2. Click on Local Server.

  3. Click the On button next to IE Enhanced Security Configuration.

  4. Tick Off under Administrators and/or Users and press OK.

Please note that we only recommend you leave IE Enhanced Security off permanently in specific situations. For example, you are not using your RDP server to run a service or website and are not storing confidential data on it. It can, however, prove useful to disable it during the initial set up of your server, so you can quickly download all of the apps and services you require.
